ARCALIS Selected for Fukushima Prefecture’s FY2026 Regional Reconstruction Practical Development Promotion Program

Fukushima, Japan – July 7, 2026 – ARCALIS, Inc. (“ARCALIS”) announces that it has been selected, together with Meiji Seika Pharma Co., Ltd. (“Meiji Seika Pharma”), for the FY2026 Regional Reconstruction Practical Development Promotion Program implemented by Fukushima Prefecture.

The Regional Reconstruction Practical Development Promotion Program is a grant program established by Fukushima Prefecture to promote the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework. The program supports research and development, demonstration projects, and commercialization initiatives in key fields, including healthcare, with the aim of revitalizing industry in the Hamadori region and other areas of Fukushima Prefecture.

Under the selected project, titled “Development of mRNA Cancer Vaccine Pharmaceuticals: Creating Globally Competitive Medicines from Fukushima”, ARCALIS and Meiji Seika Pharma will advance the development of mRNA cancer vaccines with the goal of creating innovative pharmaceuticals originating from Fukushima for the global market.

Through this project, we hope to contribute not only to industrial development but also to the regional revitalization and reconstruction of the Hamadori area, including Minamisoma City. By working closely with Meiji Seika Pharma to steadily advance this project, we aim to create innovative pharmaceuticals originating from Fukushima and deliver new treatment options to patients around the world.”

ARCALIS will continue to contribute to regional industrial development and the creation of innovative medicines through its mRNA therapeutics development and manufacturing operations in the Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture.
