Action for SDGs
ARCALIS seeks to contribute to attaining the following three of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC)
ARCALIS will contribute to achieving universal health coverage (UHC), including access to safe, effective, quality, and affordable essential therapeutics and vaccines through support for CMC development and contract manufacturing of mRNA therapeutics and vaccines. In addition, ARCALIS will support the research and development of vaccines and therapeutics for communicable and non-communicable diseases that primarily affect developing countries. ARCALIS will also promote business overseas and accelerate access to affordable essential therapeutics and vaccines under the Doha Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and Public Health.
Supporting the establishment and growth of venture companies
ARCALIS will help by supporting the development and manufacture of mRNA drugs, the state-of-the-art modality to reach higher levels of economic productivity through diversification of high value-added and labor-intensive sectors, technological upgrading, and innovation.
ARCALIS will also assist the establishment and growth of venture companies by supporting production activities, job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation in new drug development.
Promote pricing research and improve technical capacity in countries around the world
ARCALIS promotes scientific research and will help to build technical capacity in the industrial sector in all countries, including developing countries. ARCALIS will promote innovation through drug development support, which will significantly increase the number of R&D workers and expand public-private R&D spending.
