“Current Status and Prospects of mRNA Therapeutics and Vaccine Development —A CDMO Perspective-”
Overview:
Beyond infectious disease such as COVID-19 vaccines, mRNA therapeutics are expected to be applied to cancer vaccines and rare disease drugs. Aiming to lead mRNA drug commercialization from Japan, ARCALIS has established an end-to-end service, completing a manufacturing facility in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture. In 2024, commercial production has commenced. In this presentation, we will overview the current status and challenges of mRNA therapeutics, and introduce our strengths and future plans, focusing on our efforts in new technological development (Sequence optimization, Methods to reduce contamination of impure double-stranded RNA, new CAP analysis methods, etc.).
